Booked Up Doctors

“We can see you in four months.” That response is becoming commonplace to a request for an appointment with a specialist. Doctor’s schedules are filled up way into the future. “I’ll make that appointment if I’m still alive,” isn’t always a joke answer if a patient is feeling miserable. How did we get to this predicament of making Doctor appointments?  Some suggest it’s the shrinking of the size of the younger populations in contrast to the size of the current senior citizen population. Others think people are not as interested in extended schooling or can’t afford the price of extensive medical training. Whatever the reason for long waits, good doctors regret them as mch as their patients do.  Many Doctors bend over backwards to fit patients in, and to squeeze in those with life threatening needs.

Fortunately, God is never too busy or booked up to hear our prayers. He can open the door for us to see the perfect doctor for our situation at the right time or help us find the best solution for our heath needs in His own marvelous way. We are fortunate to live in a nation where we can pray and make our prayer needs known to others so they can also talk to God about our needs. Doctor Jesus does not suffer from time limitations. The Bible tells us His mercies are new every morning. He is only a whisper away. Jesus, wrap your loving arms around your people., Remind us to include You in our efforts to meet our health needs.
