Eyes

Receiving a friend’s letter brings delight. Finding a text from a friend makes us glad. A friend’s phone call is also a happy event. But face to face time with a friend brings another important dimension to our relationship. When we are physically together, we are able to look into one another’s eyes. We can read a lot of messages without a word being spoken when we can look into someone’s  eyes. Eyes convey a lot of information. When we are physically present, we bring our eyes can transmit our love and caring in important non-verbal ways. Our presence, in itself, announces caring.  Is our friend sad, glad, happy, dismayed, strained or relaxed? Eyes can reveal upset, anger, offended feelings The eyes can give us away our inside feelings offering us opportunity to mend relationships or at least, enhance understanding, and bring comfort and love to send unspoken messages which bolster morale. God help us use those wonderful orbs you gave us to transmit love and encouragement.
