Long Time Friends

Broad smiles and welcoming hugs abounded when the seven lady friends gathered for a face-to-face time of fellowship and prayer. Joy was the ruling emotion. Long-time friendships offer warm, gratifying relationships. Sharing the cares that weigh on one another and taking those concerns to God lightens the burdens. Friends welcome the opportunity of gathering for the privilege of praying for one another. Opportunities to laugh together and share both burdens and blessings knit hearts into strong bonds. Finding time to pray together can prove to be a challenge, but it is a privilege worth the effort.

Lord, lead each of us to others with whom we can safely share our burdens and for whom we can enjoy the honor of praying.  Help us find the delight You give us when we gather with the purpose of seeking your help and your solutions for our friends.  Give each of us a group with whom we can share the wonder of God’s love and interest in our lives.
