Thoughts
Everyone knows that it is important to eat a well-balanced, healthy diet. The well-being of our bodies depends on how we feed it. How often do we reflect on the connection of what we think to the well-being of our minds? Are we harsh in our judgements of others? Do we hold grudges against others? Are we kind in our thinking about others? Do we forgive their failures or ways that irritate us? What is the source of our thought life? Is it the newscasts or newspapers? Social media or friends and neighbors? Or is it our God, the God who is ready and willing to helps us in our relationships? Our God whose thoughts toward us are infinitely loving. Our God, Who can direct our thoughts into patterns which are profitable to others and beneficial to ourselves. Thoughts which benefit our well-being.
We can ask for His directions and abilities to train our thoughts into those which benefit us and those around us. We can seek His patterns by prayerfully reading His Bible while asking for His insights into our specific everyday world. We can ask for His guidance to maintain a healthy thought life.
