Unabashed Hatred

For a second, a pretty girl’s face flashed on the television screen. A moment later her face warped into a twisted scream followed by an ugly expression that matched her rant of hate filled words. Vitriol replaced beauty. Anger and hate damage our physical state as well as harming our exterior appearance. We pay the consequences of allowing hate and anger to rule our thinking. When we are young, we don’t think about the consequences our thinking processes may cost us in the future. We do well to protect our children from influences which push them into angry, resentful thinking rather than into loving thinking. When we turn our thoughts to God He is always ready to help us see others with compassion and if we ask, He will help us pray for protection from the Hate in others and help us not adopt thinking that harms us or those around us. He can direct us become a positive influence in the society around us and protect us from adopting unhealthy, unhelpful attitudes.
