A Breathtaking Sight

The band’s played stirring music. A pleasant breeze blew. The setting of a repurposed military fort spoke of important historical significance. However, for long minutes, a gorgeous sunset upstaged it all. Pleased “ahs” sounded from all corners of the lawn as the spectacular sunset dominated the event. The talented band’s music provided the perfect background for our visual treat.

I like to think of sunsets as a visual gift from God to delight mankind’s souls. A sunset gives us a lovely sight to reinforce our perception of His love for us, His creations. People of all skin colors, all philosophies, all economic levels will stop at the sight of a beautiful sunset to enjoy the colorful display. We are thankful for all beautiful creations of God. Hearts can unite around beauty regardless of diverse backgrounds. Thank you. God, for every nudge toward finding common ground and appreciating and respecting one another.
