A Running Grizzly
The grizzly bear had grown from her cub days when we first saw her. Now, a full-grown female, she could run with great speed and shake the ground as her great paws pounded the ground. We lined the fence of her enclosure to watch when she ran at the sound of a metal spoon, ringing against her metal bowl announcing her dinner was served. In spite of the fence providing protection for the visitors, we instinctively stepped back from the barrier as the large animal sped by us to reach her dinner, glad the powerful animal was on the other side of the fence.
Oh, that we would speed as eagerly to our God in order to feed on what we need for our life here. Oh, that we would not step back afraid of the power God has but welcome it to overcome our problems. Oh, that we would recognize His dinner call to us and rush to learn more and more about the wonderful character of our God.
