Beautiful Foliage
The berries looked a lot like raspberries, but the foliage didn’t. The beautiful bush or small tree was a Japanese dogwood. I was too late to see the white blossoms that preceded the berries in the spring, but the sight of lots of bright red berries against the lovely green leaves was lovely to see. I didn’t know there was such a tree. God’s seemingly endless variety of amazing, beautiful, or unheard-of beauty or surprising sights never cease to delight us and enhance our appreciation for our amazing God.
Our great big, spectacular world offers a lot of sights that are unusual, and we haven’t yet experienced. We can find lots of reasons to be thankful to God for His wide variety of creations that stagger or please our senses. Ask Him to open our eyes and ears to see and hear the sights and sounds He allows us to see and recognize Him in them. God make us aware of your wonders and appreciative of whatever you allow us to see from the humble, but gorgeous, bug to the most spectacular heavenly display. Help us bow in thankfulness to your endless variety and displays of creativity and power.
