We consider our nutrition as we plan our menus. We exercise when we want to keep our muscles in shape. We try to go to bed early or take a nap when we feel tired. Do we ever consider how we are feeding our brain with our thoughts? Our inner thought life has a powerful effect on our sense of wellbeing. What kind of thoughts do we feed our brain? Do we tend to re-run unhappy perceptions of ourselves through our brain over and over? Perhaps the thoughts were planted by someone else, and we allow ourselves to run the internal movie again and again in our mind. Perhaps they are perceptions we have made of ourselves, opinions that spring out of our insecure view of ourselves. How do we stop our inner mind from accepting careless words someone else spouted? We can drown out the negative images in our minds by flooding our brains with other thoughts. We are perfectly and wonderfully made.

If our self-image is poor, we can saturate our brain with the word of God. Look in the Bible.

You are made in the image of God.

Genesis 2:17 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created him; male and female he created them.”

Psalm 139:13,14 “…thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderful made; marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

He thinks good about us.

Jeremiah 28:11 “I know the thoughts that I think toward you saith the Lord, thoughts of peace good and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Jeremiah 31:33b “I will put my law in their inward parts and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

God wants to bless you.

Ephesians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who hath blessed us with al[ spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ;”

Isaiah 40:31 “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;…”

Get your Bible out, and FLOOD YOUR BRAIN with His love for you, You are here by the creation of God. You are unique. You are like no other.
