Mary’s Monday Musings to Quilt Encouragement
Bubbles
Blowing soap bubbles in the air never goes out of style although the apparatus used today is much more sophisticated than when I was a child. Our great grandchildren enjoyed a fun time making lots of bubbles with the help from the wind on the beach. They hardly had to move the wand because the wind did the work. Later, at home the children had to move the wands through the air to make their bubbles.
Wind often symbolizes the Holy Spirit in the Bible. Just like the wind blew bubbles at the beach, when we ask, the wind of the Holy Spirit can help us accomplish remarkable results from our small efforts for the Kingdom of God here on earth. We had equally satisfying fun at home where the children needed to wave their wands to make bubbles. When we ask, the Holy Spirit helps us achieve when we are expending our own energies. Whenever we seek God’s help, He is pleased to blow onto our efforts and bring about a bigger impact than we can on our own. Let’s ask Him to blow on the bubbles of our efforts for results that increase the Kingdom of God here on this earth.
