Crisp Crackers
Mary’s Monday Musings to Quilt Encouragement
Crispy Crackers
The sound of a hundred or more people crunching down on crispy crackers at the same time makes a noticeable noise. When it is the sound of a congregation taking communion together, it is an awesome noise. What a privilege we’re granted to share a ritual of our belief in and love for our awesome God.
Surrounded by people who can attest to experiencing the love of God, our faith is
enlarged. United in the common act of communion with others who want to grow closer to God and to know more of God’s immense love for us personally, a wonderful sense of Community is created. Each of us is vulnerable to doubts in this complex, and skeptical world. Simply the act of gathering together with other believers increases our faith and decreases our doubts. The Bible tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together.(Hebrews 10:25) Wise words. United, our faith is bolstered. Divided, our minds are subject to attack. Not only is gathering with fellow believers good for us, it’s a delightful joy that brings the gladness of friendship.
