Mary’s Monday Musings to Quilt Encouragement
Easter
Isaiah 53:3-8 tells us about Easter. (I pulled concepts from this scripture and sometimes reworded)
Jesus was:
A man of sorrow acquainted with grief,
despised and rejected,
wounded for our transgressions,
bruised for our iniquities,
chastened for our peace,
beaten for our healing.
He took our iniquity upon himself
He was oppressed and afflicted
He was led to the slaughter
He was stricken for our transgressions
Psalm 103:1-5
Tells us not to forget the Benefits the above brings us.
Our iniquities are pardoned;
He heals our diseases;
Our life is redeemed from the pit;
He crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies
He satisfies us with good food
He renews our youth like eagles.
Oh, Lord, help each of us respond to all you have done by commanding our souls to bless Your holy name with all that is within me every moment, every day, especially Easter.
