Easter Egg Hunt

 

 

The delighted squeals of little children finding colorful eggs on Easter day add another dimension of joy to an already joyful day.  The pleasure of a tiny tot discovering a hidden egg reminds us of our own wonder at the amazing miracle of that first Easter. We don’t have to wait for Easter Sunday to celebrate the life changing news that when Jesus rose from the dead on that long-ago day, we were given a way to live eternally. Our hearts leap with wonder when we consider God’s promise that we can live with Him forever when we believe that Jesus’ came to earth and showed us God’s astonishing love. We stand in awe of our amazing God who gave us reason to marvel at the extent He went to in order that our human nature might recognize and be reconciled with the amazing love He carries for each of His creation. Just as a child chortles with glee when finding an Easter egg hidden in a bush, we can laugh, dance, and jump for joy at the resurrection Jesus secured for our future.
