Encourage Yourself in Amazing Love

            This month symbols of romantic love are all around us on billboards, in stores, on television. February is a perfect time to bask in the joy of knowing God loves you, individual you, who is unlike anyone else on this planet. Take time to soak in His love. We want our smiles, our words, even our hugs to reflect Him and His nature.

 

What better day to consider the love of God than Valentine’s Day. Think about our awesome God. He’s the creator of the universe, the maker of heaven and earth, the designer of human kind, creator of all things living and all inanimate elements, some of which are probably undiscovered as yet. In the scope of the vast universe, we are smaller than a pinpoint dot on a vast canvas. Yet, the amazing God of all creation loves each one of us, speck though we are. He doesn’t love us from afar in a general way, He came from the splendor of heaven to earth as a helpless baby to demonstrate unimaginable love. His love is complete and specific to the personality of each one of us. He CARES about what concerns us! We find it challenging to wrap our minds around our incredible God’s tender love for each individual. The concept that He takes pleasure in a personal relationship with us boggles our mind. Jeremiah 29:11 says ‘For I know the thoughts I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you and expected end.’ This magnificent God wants to be invited into your heart to bless your life. He wants a relationship with each of us to guide us to peace through His love.
