Giant Bunny

Mary’s Monday Musings to Quilt Encouragement
Giant Bunny

The cover over the baby stroller was unzipped to reveal an extraordinary passenger—a huge, black bunny with white and grey flecks, long black ears, and big black eyes looking back at us. When the SPCA lady picked him up, his snuggle against her was almost comical. He was too large to fit the concept of a cuddly bunny. But there he was, cuddling. Bigger than the normal beach ball, he nestled. Named Marble for his blended gray, white and black fur, his species is called Flemish Giant Rabbit. He took up much more space than the usual baby passenger in that stroller and was a heavy armload in his owner’s arms. Since his breed make good companions, he has the run of his owner’s office and plenty of attention during the day.

  • There is something special about the way a cuddly pet can comfort people. Furry, cuddly animals are a big help to calming upset people and making the lonely feel loved. It’s almost magical way a cuddly pet can help a person feel better and more stable. God, help us offer the same kind of unconditional love that a pet gives. Help us bring that kind of deep love and comfort to people who need encouragement. Help us be sensitive to your nudge to offer attention and encouragement to others in need of a boost to their sense of well-being.
