Mary’s Monday Musings to Quilt Encouragment
Hoops
We gaped opened mouthed at our granddaughter’s skill. We remembered swirling a hula hoop around our middles when we were children. We thought we did well when we kept it up and whirling in place until we were ready to stop. But never in our imaginations did we ever consider such stunts as this amazing performance. Swirling a hoop around her knees, causing it to climb up and up, keeping more than one hoop twirling at a time. We grinned at fancy gyrations of all kinds, including stepping in and out of the moving hoops. Impressive. We clapped and commented on what good exercise it was. The small children clamored for instruction and under excellent coaching had the hoop up and turning albeit without all the tricks.
God is ready to enable us to twirl through all the twists of life and keep our balance when we are required to spin more than we feel able. God, please help us exercise our bodies to be able to twirl where you want us and practice the skills necessary for the roles you have prepared for us.
