How?

How can that happen? I don’t know How to do that! I seem to ask ‘How’ often when I’m trying to do something I’m unfamiliar with on my computer. Computerese doesn’t come naturally to me. Sometimes navigating my computer seems as difficult as if I were finding my way in the middle of the night in a strange country where, in addition, I don’t speak the language. I’m lost in the dark. Occasionally, I complain aloud to my computer. As ridiculous and futile as that is, I ask this inanimate object HOW I’m supposed to accomplish some task I can’t figure out. Sometimes it makes me want to Howl as mournfully as a wolf under a full moon. The dictionary tells me a howler can be any exaggerated response to a stupid or ridiculous blunder.

 

Instead of grousing at the computer or howling like a wolf, How much better if my first response to frustration is to pray. When the How of a situation is beyond my grasp, I can appeal to the master of the universe. Isn’t that an amazing thought? I have the ultimate authority of the entire universe to consult with and ask for help in my search for the HOWs of my life. So do you. Somehow, God will lead us to the right solutions for our problems –whether or not the answers come in the form we want. God is showing us the way. God help me listen and understand.
