Learn What Lies Underneath

            Two fine men left this world for a better place this month. We gained the privilege of knowing these men and enjoying wonderful times with them, because they were the fathers of two of our in-laws. These men greatly enriched our lives with their character and their love of God. We owe our son-in-law and our daughter-in-law thanks for the joy of knowing their fathers.

 

How many amazing, encouraging stories of perseverance, endurance, sacrifice are buried within the hearts and minds of each person around us?  Stories we can enjoy and benefit from if we invest genuine interest in others and take the time to discover what lies beneath the surface of the lives we have the privilege to know. God help us learn how to plumb the depths of character You have developed in those around us. Help us learn to take our relationships deeper and find the treasures You plant in each person You create.
