Macaroons
What a treat for eye and palate to open a box of macaroons. Today’s cookie is a step up from the white macaroon cookie of the past. The rainbow of delicate colors pleases the eye and the flavor delights the taste buds—a sweet indulgence to brighten a meal. This macaroon gift box spoke love with every bite.
God open our eyes daily to spot your loving gift of glorious colors you made for our world. From the vivid contrasts of green, yellow and orange in the grocery vegetable aisle to the dried wreath on my neighbors door with its blend of fall colors. Thank you, God for the Technicolor world you made. As if surrounding our eyes with beauty isn’t enough, you regularly bombard out taste buds with flavors ranging from tongue tingling pungent to mouth watering sweetness. Thank you for creating all our senses and supplying them with pleasing stimuli. Help us consider your great love each time we experience: the beauty of a little girl’s curls which touches our heart, the full bodied flavor of a meal which satisfies us, the aroma of a well made cup of coffee which beckons us, the soft skin of a baby which charms us. Thank you, God. We are wise if we work to establish and maintain a grateful spirit. Thankfulness brings us peace, joy and is attractive to others.
