Majestic Eagles

Mary’s Monday Musings to Quilt Encouragement

Majestic Eagles

The nests were high at the top of the trees. We needed to crane our necks to see the white ball of an eagle head, regal as it stood atop the large nest. Eagles thrive in our northern most state of Alaska.  It’s fun to realize how prevalent our national bird is if we are in the right places to see them. Large, fierce, and master of the bird world, we felt privileged to enjoy glimpses of these mighty birds when we learned what to look for in order to spot their white heads. God made a fascinating creature when He created Eagles.

If He cared to make such a magnificent bird, think how much more He enjoyed the complex creation of human kind, made in His image.  Every single person who walks the Earth is made in the image of God, made with a capacity to love, to care, and to think. Being faulty humans, we don’t live up to our Heavenly Father’s image, but He loves us anyway. We can learn how to spot the love of God for us as we walk our way through our days. We can experience the awesome reality of His movement in our lives in unexpected ways. Thank you, God, that You want us to grasp Your mighty love for us. Help us to see Your touch to our hearts and Your leading in our lives. Show us how to move ever closer to realizing and understanding Your Almighty Love.  Help us to build our confidence and trust on Your Love.
