Refresh

            Computers. What wonderful machines when they work! How amazingly frustrating when they don’t!  How my computer works is often a mystery to me. I have some patient computer rescuers in my life who answer the phone or allow me to button hole them in person when I have a computer problem that I don’t know how to solve. I try to spread my troubleshooter needs around several people, so I’m not a big burden on any one person. These good Samaritans will sometimes tell me that the answer to my problem may be to press the refresh button. Voila! Sometimes that simple act will provide the fix I need.

 

I’m comforted to realize that God is never burdened by my lack of understanding or mistaken efforts to fix problems. He is able to shoulder all my problems, and I don’t need to worry about over burdening him. He is always available, and He knows the answer to all problems. He knows exactly where my refresh button is and how to refresh my thinking, my attitudes, and my joy of life, if I’ll just ask. God press our reset button and refresh us whenever we grow stale or cluttered in our approach to life.
