Together is BestThe bride radiated joy, the bridesmaids sparkled with delight. The bridegroom’s face wore a glad grin. Weddings are happy occasions. Flowers, food, cute flower girls and smiling guests make the perfect recipe for a good time. One of the most gratifying aspects of a wedding is the gathering of family. We enjoyed seeing branches of family we hadn’t been privileged to see for a long time, children who had grown, a new in-law and a new baby we hadn’t met. We were gratified also at the opportunity to meet the groom’s family. We enjoyed learning about the skills and talents possessed by this most pleasant family.

With the ability to bridge distances via social media we can maintain contact much better than previous generations, but nothing takes the place of face to face talks and hugs. Eye ball to eye ball fellowship with loved family and friends lifts our spirits and brings us joy. Every Sunday we have the privilege of nurturing the happiness of togetherness in our churches. We can talk, hug, and delight in each other. We can stick around long enough after services to deepen relationships, and thank God for the opportunity. Let’s seize every opportunity to invest in relationships.
